Make your own devil costume
Do you want the devil to be unleashed at the next Halloween party? Then slip into a diabolical costume and charm the party guests as Beelzebub. Of course, no devilish prank should be missing. But beware: Who knows what other creatures will be lurking there? After all, your horns are not a useful weapon against every Halloween creature.
Devil makeup – Here's how
-
Step 1
If you have adhesive horns, attach them to your forehead according to the package instructions. This may take a few minutes. Alternatively, put on the homemade horns.
-
Step 2
Apply red face paint to the face, ears, and neck with a sponge, avoiding the eye area. This will already give you a diabolical look.
-
Step 3
Next, use a black makeup pencil to draw lines around the eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks, and chin, as shown in the illustration. These serve as markers for shading the face.

The DIY version
Halloween is only a few days away and do you enjoy crafting? Then you can make a great devil costume yourself. For this version, it is enough to wear black clothing. The main focus is on the accessories and the face.

Of course, you can buy devil horns. You’ll find a suitable pair in our shop. Or you can make the horns yourself. The same applies to the tail.
You’ll need:
- Cotton wool
- Red felt
- Needle and thread
- Black headband
- A safety pin
It’s best to draw the shape of the horns on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. This will give you a template. When drawing, allow an edge of approx. 1/2 cm as a seam allowance. Place the felt on top of each other and use the template and a pen to draw the outlines next to each other. Cut out the horns and sew them together along the sides, starting the seam slightly above the end, as the horns still need to be sewn onto the headband.
Now turn the horns inside out so that the seams are hidden on the inside, and finally stuff them with cotton wool. Finally, sew the horns onto the headband.
Proceed in the same way for the felt tail. After filling it with cotton wool, sew the end closed and attach it to the clothing with the safety pin.

No time left to order a costume and accessories?
Here’s the quick version for you: Is the Halloween party taking place tomorrow already? No problem. You’re sure to have something black to wear hanging in your wardrobe. It could be leggings and a T-shirt, a dress, or something similar. Your face doesn’t need elaborate makeup. It’s enough to darken your eyebrows with an eyeliner pencil. Enhance the contours of your face by using dark eyeshadow to create shadows around the eyes, along the sides of the nose, and beneath the cheekbones. Accentuate your lips with red lipstick. Quickly buy the horns and a trident, and your devil costume is complete.
